I am a big supporter of local events as I believe that they are an important way to help create a sense of community.
In 2015/16, I was a member of LACE (Local Arts and Community Events), a local not-for-profit group that helps to organise free art & community events in the City of Bayswater. The group has been organising the Maylands Markets for several years now and was also behind the 2016 Maylands Street Festival. They are planning to apply to run the next street festival in 2018!
As their events rely on volunteers, they are always looking for new members. Any help would be appreciated, so please consider emailing lacevolunteers@gmail.com so that they can put you on their email list.
